About Smart Energy Summit 2023

The Smart Energy Summit is smartEn’s biennial European business gathering of around 200 senior professionals from market players, system operators, financial institutions and public authorities. In 2023 it’s addressing the importance of maximising the local self-optimisation of distributed flexible resources. Thanks to a multitude of business models, local self optimisation would help solve congestion challenges and avoid costly grid reinforcements that might be caused by the deployment of new decentralised forms of electrical load and generation. This development would benefit both consumers and the whole energy system.
